清洗时尽量将礼服反面朝外。 请尽量选择中性（柔和）的清洗剂。
◎清洗方式：
【湿洗】
1、如果礼服上沾到酒或香槟，应立即在礼服下垫块毛巾，用白醋或洗涤剂擦洗，再用吸水纸吸干以免留下印记。
2、湿洗是关键，因为礼服上的小装饰，比如串珠饰边，经不起干洗的化学物质的侵蚀，最好的方法是把礼服放入拌有温和、中性清洁剂的水中，浸泡一会儿，这能清洗掉酒席上红酒、荤油等留下的污渍，多泡一会儿，连看不见的污渍如汗渍、白酒渍也能除去。
一定不能使用洗衣机和脱水，否则会造成装饰品的脱落。
【干洗】
1、一些礼服需要干洗，尤其是丝质、醋酸纤维、人造丝和羊毛质料。一定要使用已经过滤的溶剂进行洗涤，明确污渍的类型和位置，否则会有残留。
2、一些清洗商会建议使用特殊的清洗方法，事实上没有必要并且价格昂贵，因此一定要选择有信誉保证的清洗商。清洗过后要打开包装进行检查。
【晾干】礼服洗净后要晾透，千万不可在烈日下暴晒，暴晒后的礼服会变脆，裙摆、珠片、装饰花也容易脱落。
◎整理与收藏整理礼服时也要小心，对亮片施加蒸汽或热量前应该测试它的热敏性。如果可以的话，取下一片亮片用蒸汽试一下。注意亮片的卷曲或变色，同时别在缀珠和亮片上熨烫。熨烫应该先注意礼服面料，知道所熨烫的面料所需的温度。
◎注意事项
1、如果怕料子因高温变型，可以在熨烫之前在礼服上面放一件薄的衣服作为隔层。
2、温度不能过高。直接熨烫温度不易高于70度。
3、有条件的推荐使用蒸汽挂烫机。礼服洗净、晾透了后，就可以收藏起来了，要存放在阴凉干燥的地方，比如壁橱或者存放衣物的箱子。一定不要悬挂保存，天长日久，礼服产生的垂力会把裙身拉长甚至撕裂。礼服内大大的裙箍可以扭转起来收藏，但每年翻晒衣物时，要将裙箍恢复原状，以免失去弹性。
注意收藏礼服前一定要洗手，避免粘上化妆品，否则时间一长礼服上就会有小黄斑。
